The selected contractor for landslide mitigation works at Lot No. 02 (RLVMMP/WORKS/07-LOT 02) and Lot No. 03 (RLVMMP/WORKS/07-LOT 03) of Package 07, M/s Sanguine- Sri Ram JV has taken over all the sites on 07th February 2023.
The Lot No. 2 work consists of constructions such as Soil nailing, retaining walls, Horizontal drains and surface drain, as slope rectification measures located at Site No. 55 – Culvert No – 9/6 Thiriwanaketiya – Agalawatta Road (Yatikadurawa), Site No. 57 – Culvert No 10/1 (Yatikadurawa) Thiriwanakatiya- Agalawatta Road, Site No. 58 – Sumana Balika Vidvayala, Site No. 59 – Niwithigala Primary School (Sumana Junior School) and Site No. 60 – Nivithigala Town in Ratnapura District.
The Lot No. 3 work consists of constructions such as Soil nailing, Gabion walls, Horizontal drains and surface drains as slope rectification measures located at Site No. 52 – in between Culvert No. 2/4 and 2/5 (Koswattha) Kalawana – Rakwana Road, Site No. 56 – Near Culvert 25/5 Agalawatta Road -Thiriwanaketiya, Site No. 109 – Near Culvert No-23/12 Thiriwanaketiya – Agalawatta Road and Site No.123 – In Between Culvert No. 11/8 and 11th km Niriella – Ratnapura – Karawita Road in Ratnapura District.
The representatives from the respective schools, Grama Niladhari of the respective GN Divisions, and the officials from PMU were joined for this event.
