Applications are hereby invited from Sri Lankan citizens for the following position for the Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Reduction of Landslide Vulnerability by Mitigation Measures Project (RLVMMP) funded by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). The Implementing Agency of this project is National Building Research Organisation under the Ministry of Defence. Landslide mitigation works (126 locations) in Badulla, Kandy, Matale, Kegalle, Ratnapura, Nuwara Eliya, Kalutara, Galle, Matara, Hambantota & Kurunegala districts, and unstable locations along the railway track will be improved under this project. Critical 24 sites will be mitigated /rectified under Phase I and balance sites will be mitigated /rectified under Phase II.
1. Procurement Specialist (01 Position – PS3 level)
Position Summary
He/she shall be responsible for managing Procurement Activities and Contract Administration of the entire Project.
- A successfully completed bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying or any other relevant field which is recognized by the University Grants Commission or
A Qualification recognized by the University Grants Commission as an equivalent qualification to the degree in civil engineering/ Quantity Surveying or any other relevant field or
An associate member ship/A similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional institution in civil engineering/ Quantity Surveying or any other relevant field
with
At least 12 years post qualifying experience at the managerial level.
Or - A successfully completed bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying or any other relevant field which is recognized by the University Grants Commission or
A Qualification recognized by the University Grants Commission as an equivalent qualification to the degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying or any other relevant field or
An associate member ship/A similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional institution in civil engineering/ Quantity Surveying or any other relevant field
And
postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying or any other relevant field or
Corporate/chartered membership or a similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional institution in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying or any other relevant field
with at least 09 years post qualifying experience at the managerial level
or - Grade 1 officer of government All Island Service or a similar state in the Civil Engineering /Quantity Surveying or any other relevant field
And
At least 04 years of experience in a Class 1 post.
Age: Below 64 years as of 15.11.2022.
General Conditions
The recruitment will be for one year on a contract basis initially, and renewable thereafter annually subject to satisfactory performance. Employee’s contribution to the Employees’ Provident Fund is 10% of the monthly salary while the contribution of the Employer is 12% to the Employees’ Provident Fund and 3% to the Employees’ Trust Fund.
Salary
Subject to provision in the Management Services Circular 01/2019 & other relevant Management Services Circulars.
