The Environmental & Social Awareness programme was held at St. Bernadette’s Model School, Polgahawela (Site No: 034 of Package 05C) on 12th December 2023. Representing the PMU, Geo. Laksiri Indrathilake (Snr. Geologist), Ms. Madara Dissanayake (Snr. E&S Expert), and Mr. Hudson De Silva (Snr. Social Safeguard Expert) conducted the programme.
The civil works contractor of this site M/s Sanguine Engineering (Pvt) Ltd. has arranged the event and their Environmental & Social Officer, also presented the details about the Environmental & Social arrangements at the Site.
The Principal, some Teachers/Students of the school, Representatives from the Divisional Secretariat, the Divisional Education Office, Members of the School Development Committee, Grama Niladhari of the area, representatives from the Sanguine Engineering (Pvt) Ltd. and officials from the PMU participated in this event.
